REMINDERS!!!!

LAST DAY TO DROP/WITHDRAW FOR SUMMER B and SUMMER C is AUGUST 2nd.  

Step 1:

Enter a request through ONE.UF (ONLY DROPS!! Withdrawing from semester go to the withdrawal webpage)

Step 1A: If you are withdrawing from your entire summer semester, you will go through this webpage https://registrar.ufl.edu/services/withdrawals

Step 2:

Check with UF Financial Aid for how this drop will affect your Aid Package

Step 3:

Send a verification email to Nicole (ntyoung@ufl.edu)  with this information.  If you have questions about dropping, please come in to see Nicole:

COLLEGE PETITIONS

If you used all of your drops, you are required to complete a college petition; you must have an advisor statement attached to the petition.

Please complete the petition as soon as possible. Please submit the petition packet to me.  The next step, I will write my statement then submit the entire packet to the 204 Weil Hall via email.  If you have questions, please let me know.  The Final cutoff for the college petition is the 8/2/2019 by 4 pm. To make sure your petition is processed, I suggest submitting a week before the deadline date.  Once the college makes their decision, they will notify you via email if it is approved or not.   The college petition form is on this web page, https://www.eng.ufl.edu/students/resources/undergraduate-student-handbook/petitions/

If you have registered for the EEL4948 summer internship or EEL4949 coop this summer, the student work report and employer evaluation are due August 1^st by 5:00 pm.  If the forms are not received, you will earn an incomplete.

Fall Updates and Information

If you are completing a fall internship or coop and would like to earn credit, please have the online form and letterhead upload no later than August 26^th by 4:00 pm.   After the August 26^th, is considered a late add. The new online form link is  https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e3OQ8b0GCthd8G1

EGN4912 (Research) and EEL4905 (Independent Study)   for the fall semester are due no later than August 26th by 4:00 pm.  Anything after this date will be a late add.

STATS for ECE will be offered Fall 2019. Dr. Silva Katia will be the professor.  It will be under EEL4930 course number.   The course will be manually moved to the statistic line  on your audit.

EEL4657C changes for the fall semester.  The labs will not be flipped. The information that was given to the Student Service Office, the labs will be completed in class.  Please check with Dr. Biron for further details (z.biron@ece.ufl.edu).

Looking for volunteers from Juniors and Seniors to participate in EE Sophomore Townhall: Welcome to the ECE Department meeting with EE Advisor.  The date is TBD. I am looking for upperclassmen and women to speak about how involvement in student organizations, prepare for upper-level classes, Senior Design, research, and labs intensity of major and just overall experience in the major.  The focus is the students that are transitioning from first-year advising to the department.

Other topics will be BS/MS program, curriculum, and general information.  There will be food!!!!!!
