The College of Engineering is now accepting applications for the May 2015 Graduation Awards

The College of Engineering is now accepting applications for the May 2015 Graduation Awards, recipients to be recognized during our May 3, 2015 Commencement ceremonies.  Please encourage your students to apply for the following commencement awards.
This year, The College of Engineering recognizes recipients of the following awards during the College of Engineering Spring 2015 Commencement:
·         Six students will be selected as Outstanding Gator Engineering Scholars, three who entered UF as freshmen (Four-Year Scholar) and three as transfer students (Two-Year Scholar).
o   There will be one Four-Year Scholar and one Two-Year Scholar selected from each of the three groups below.
·         Three Student Speaker Award recipients will be selected, one student from each of the three groups below.
o   Group 1: Computer & Information Science & Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Agricultural & Biological Engineering
o   Group 2: Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering
o   Group 3: Materials Science & Engineering (including Nuclear Engineering), Civil & Coastal Engineering, Environmental Engineering Sciences, Chemical Engineering

One student will be selected for each of the following awards:

·         One Dean Joseph Weil Engineering Leadership Award.
This Award will be presented to a student who has continually exhibited outstanding leadership and organizational abilities in promoting ideals, ethics and principles of engineering and the engineering profession, for the betterment of the College of Engineering.
·         One Dean Jonathan F.K. Earle Engineering Leadership Award.
This Award will be presented to a student who has continually exhibited outstanding service to the community and university, leadership, and dedication to the ideals, ethics and principles of engineering and the engineering profession, for the betterment of present and future students of the College of Engineering and University of Florida.
·         There will also be an Outstanding Gator Engineering M.S. Award for graduating Masters Students. 

To be eligible for these awards, you must be graduating in May 2015, August 2015, or December 2015.
