Hi EE Majors:
I am co-captain of Gatorloop, the Design and Build
team on campus which is one of the 22 finalists in the world
competing in SpaceX’s Hyperloop Design and build competition
this summer in California. We are looking for junior, senior,
MS, and Ph.D EE candidates to help us create the systems listed
below. I would appreciate it if you could send the email below
to the list serve. Thank you!
Sebastian Quesada
Co-Captain, Gatorloop
—————————————————————————————————
Over this
past weekend Gatorloop competed at the SpaceX Hyperloop Design
Weekend at Texas A&M. We were awarded one of only 22 spots
moving forward to build and test our pod at the SpaceX
facility this summer! The electrical system of the pod will
collect data from an array of sensors and send it wirelessly
via WiFi to a remote computer. This information will be
displayed in a GUI for everyone in the competition to see. It
will also keep track of the position and speed of the pod in
order to actively control the braking system.
To accomplish this, we
are looking to add junior, senior, MS and Ph.D candidates with
experience in at least one of the following areas to join our
team:
- Embedded systems and programming
- Microprocessor applications
- SPI and UART communications
- PID controller design
- Front end developers
with UI/UX experience
- Network protocol implementation: TCP/IP, UDP
- Power systems and circuits
- Power electronics
- Electromagnetics
Resumes
will be accepted through Wednesday 2/10 at 5pm.
