Normandeau Associates, Inc., one of the nation's largest science-based consulting firms, is seeking a Field Technician to assist with installation and maintenance of bat acoustic equipment at wind farms throughout North America. Applicants must be ready and able to travel with short notice and be deployed for extended periods of time. Applicants must be able to show a demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and have a keen eye for detail. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and should either have a valid passport or the ability to travel out of the country. Anticipated work will be through October 2015. Candidates must also be able to work in the United States without Company sponsorship. Job duties and responsibilities: Field work: -Install, repair, maintain and decommission remote bat acoustical monitoring systems -Travel for periods up to and greater than 10 days at a moment's notice -Follow protocols and instructions both written and verbal -Perform detailed diagnostics on field computer systems -Work in harsh field conditions -Troubleshoot and problem solve to fix damaged or broken systems -Maintain detailed notes on your field efforts, hours and travel time -Manual labor that requires the ability to repeatedly lift up to 70lbs at a time -Work hard, fast and efficiently in both lone and group settings -Be in constant consideration of safety (both yours and others around you) -Ability to uphold a high degree of professionalism -Occasional opportunity to join in other department field efforts Warehouse/Office duties: -Maintain inventory records -Track issues using online interfaces -Maintain detailed notes on your work, hours and time -Assist with the organizing, building, preparing, and prepping of field systems -Assist with shipping, packaging, receiving items to and from the field -Assist with other activities and efforts around the office -Assist with QC/QA of components -Be in constant consideration of safety (both yours and others around you) -Assisting with reporting As an employee-owned company, Normandeau Associates, Inc., offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. According to me it's better to move in an apartment that has more space and natural lightning. Natural lightning helps in increasing the inner air of the home. Whenever you move to new apartment prefer to ask from the homeowner about the mildew problem.
