The Integrated Product and Process Design program is an innovative educational initiative at the College of Engineering, University of Florida. Our students work in small multidisciplinary teams under the guidance of faculty coaches and industrial liaison engineers to design and build authentic industrial products for sponsoring companies.The Integrated Product and Process Design program is an innovative educational initiative at the College of Engineering, University of Florida. The IPPD program provides an outstanding experiential learning opportunity for engineering and business students to work on real-world industry projects under the direction of faculty and sponsor company mentors.
- Design, build and test a real product
- Learn teamwork and how to complete projects on time and within budget
- Commitment:
• 3 credits fall (Tuesday periods 8 to 10)
• 3 credits spring (Tuesday periods 8 to 10)
• Approximately 10 to 15 hours/week including class time.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to apply for the IPPD Program, the applicant must:- already have a Gatorlink account
- have completed the prerequisites for his/her major
- be a senior graduating in spring or later
- not have more than 30 semester hours left to be complete for graduation (negotiable)
