Undergraduate Research Opportunity at the McKnight Brain Institute

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY at the McKnight Brain Institute
I am a Research Engineer from Dr. Andrew Maurer's Lab here at the McKnight Brain Institute. We are seeking a few talented undergraduate EE students to help us with a project looking at dynamic decision-making and its neural correlates in rodents .
The research seeks to understand how the brain, a densely interconnected set of individual neurons, rapidly translates environmental information into complex representations in support of cognitive function. We address these questions by taking an integrative and multidisciplinary approach to neuroscience research.
Responsibilities will include hardware design and implementation, coding, data collection, organization, and analysis. This position would begin in the Summer and require at least 10 hours a week. Applicants would need some availability beforehand to get started with training. Applicants from all academic backgrounds are welcome to apply. We are looking for students with a strong familiarity with C/C++. Soldering skills and other languages are a plus.
Applicants should send an email to kennedy.p.jack@gmail.com and dylanguen@gmail.com with a short description of why they are interested in the position, their academic goals, and any relevant experience they may bring to the position.
