Good Afternoon EE Majors:
Advance Registration for Spring 2017 will open October 31st, so it is time to schedule an
appointment to clear your advising hold(s) and discuss your upcoming schedule
for the next semester(s). The schedule of courses is available to view (on October 7th) for all students at www.registrar.ufl.edu/soc. Below is the
tentative list of EE courses being offered for Spring 2017
semester, please look over the list to see which EE courses will be offered.
Please review the course listings before you arrive for your appointment, and please review your
degree audit to confirm what remaining courses you have to complete for the
Electrical Engineering degree. Attached

I will be seeing students by your class classification (5EG,
4EG, 3EG, 2EG,) beginning SEPTEMBER 27, 2016 You can find your
classification on your degree audit. Classification is assigned based on number
of credit hours completed. For
students currently studying abroad, internship/coop, AIM students and HONORS
students, please send an email directly to nicolet@ece.ufl.edu for assistance. Your
advising may be conducted differently.

student (a non-transfer student that started your first semester at UF in
Spring 2016, Summer 2016, or Fall 2016, regardless of your incoming credits),
please disregard these instructions. You must see the First Year Advising team
in Weil 204.

For All Other Students:
For the following dates September
27-30th and October 3-4th and 10th there will
be walk-in advising only to clear your advising hold for the Spring 2017. All
classifications are welcome to come in.
The Walk-in Advising hours will be 9:30 am-12pm and 1-4 pm; excluding
any scheduled meetings and/or appointments.

For EE students to clear advising holds; there will be 2
ways to clear your advising holds for Spring 2017. You are able to schedule an
appointment (see directions below) or come in during the designated walk-in
advising day to clear your advising holds.
In each option you must
complete the Advance Registration Worksheet (ARW). The ARW is attached to the
email. To clear your advising hold by walk-in advising will be on Thursdays
only. The hours of walk-in are
9:30-12 and 1- 4pm.
If your schedule does not permit you to come in during the
schedule times above then you can send an email with the Advance Registration
Worksheet to the EE advisor email.
Please allow 24-48 hours to clear your hold if you are clearing by
email. Do not wait until to your assigned
date to clear all holds.
Instructions for scheduling an appointment – please read
entirely!
Appointments will be available Monday through Wednesday and
Friday from 10AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM. Appointments will last approximately 20
minutes and will take place in 230 Larsen Hall. I respectfully ask that you
arrive at least 5 minutes early in case the appointment before you ends early.
Advance registration is a busy time; please understand that if you are more
than 5 minutes late to your appointment you run the risk of being asked to
reschedule for another date/time.
Please refer to the schedule above to see when you can
schedule your registration appointment. Students that schedule an appointment
earlier than outlined above will have their appointment cancelled and will need
to reschedule. During this appointment, we will remove any holds on your record
as well as discuss your plans for both the Spring 2017. Please read over
the attachment for step to step directions.
