About National Instruments
National Instruments is a technology pioneer and leader in
virtual instrumentation
-- a revolutionary concept that has changed the way
engineers and scientists
approach measurement and automation. Leveraging the PC and
its related
technologies, virtual instrumentation increases
productivity and lowers
costs for customers worldwide through easy-to-integrate
software, such
as the NI LabVIEW graphical development environment, and
modular hardware,
such as PXI modules for data acquisition, instrument
control and machine
vision.
National Instruments was voted
as one of
the top 100 companies to work for by Fortune Magazine for
the 15th
year in a row, was included in BusinessWeek’s “Best Places
to Launch
a Career”, and was voted one of America’s “Best Places to
Work” by
Glassdoor.com.
These three distinctions are not limited to just
engineering
companies, but all companies in any industry.
Along with a large number of
software and
hardware development roles, many of our new engineers
choose to start in
the Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). In this
program, engineers
learn leadership and business skills on top of technical
product knowledge.
They spend their first few years at NI working directly
with customers
solving problems, with the sales team helping to drive
product sales, and
with marketing helping to increase awareness of our
products. After
1-3 years in the program, the engineers will transition
out of their intro
role into a Technical Sales, Technical Marketing,
System-Level Support
or R&D project management roles.
